Ok, so I went to the bios and these are my graphic options; It was already on switchable. http://imgur.com/1R4Xpfi (Pic was taken with phone sorry for quality)

Im getting this error "nvidia display settings are not available you are not using a display attached to an nvidia gpu". The laptop has a nvidia gt540m in it. The gpu is being picked up by the OS as it is discovered in device manager, and device manager claims for it to be working. - This on on...
