i dont know much about PCs so i thought someone here could help me out recently my fps will drop from a consistent 180 to around 40 for a few seconds then go completely normal repeatedly im unsure whats causing this and have been looking for a fix ive tried most solutions to no avail someone...

i tend to play games in windowed fullscreen

Whenever i run any games and change the volume of my device it always changes the contrast for a brief period is there a way to fix this? (im on an alienware desktop)
