I have both my adapters externally powered. I know the adapters and gpu work fine because they work on my old laptop and not my new one.

I got my egpu to work on my old laptop, but when I plug it into the pcie on my new laptop it doesn't work. I think it is an issue with the laptop trying to take the graphics card video and feed it through the internal display. It doesn't seem to be the whitelist stopping it because it starts up...

This is what happened when I plugged my graphics card into my dsktop.

When I plug in my graphics card it gives me this message, "PLEASE POWER DOWN AND CONNECT THE PCIe POWER CABLE(S) FOR THIS GRAPHICS CARD". I have tried plugging in 6 and 8 pin PCIe power connectors into the graphics card, but it keeps giving me this message. Please help.
