If you google motherboard, look at the bottom left, and scan up and across. There’s 2 black slots portruding out of the board, they’re somewhat long and stretch across to about halfway the width of the board. The top one is 16x, and the bottom is 8x.

That looks perfectly well, it’ll last for awhile. My only recommendation is to get some much faster ram. 3200 MHz is the sweet spot.

I think you’ll be ok. Question: why are you moving your parts cross country/internationally?

PSU’s are relatively hardy, it’s possible if someone handled it horribly but it’d be impossible to know.

What kind of monitor do you have and what games do you play?

People say 3200 MHz is the minimum for ryzen, but you’ll be perfectly fine with 3000.

I have an RX 570, and I usually get about 120 FPS in lobby, 75-110 in game (it really pushes my CPU, but yours is better so expect more.) I have a 75Hz monitor and it’s pretty smooth. If you want, you can go up to 100-120 would be a good range for you.

If you have an Intel system you will see little benefit, but with a ryzen system you’ll see more. A cpu works by pulling instructions from the ram and computing them, then returning it wherever. Ryzen needs speedier ram, Intel not as much.

So many possible things could have gone wrong, but wiping the individual game files and reinstalling again would by my only solution other than a reinstall. Are you running it on a disc or download?

That sucks :( My suggestion would be to back up all files that you need to a flash drive, and reinstalling your OS.

Hey everyone. I’ve been told that ryzen 3000 is coming soon (next few months) and I’m ready to buy a CPU. I have enough money for a 2600x, but if I wait (which I don’t really want to do) and get a ryzen 3000 series chip, will the performance be so drastic that I should wait, or go for the 2600x now?

I had an issue with steam with a similar problem with a different game. I tried everything, reinstalling the game, wiping the games files, etc. the way that I’d recommend you fix your issue is to delete all the game’s files in %appdata% and reinstall, and if that doesn’t work reinstall your OS...
