My ac adapter has finally gone and popped and i don't fancy paying £58 for a new one through asus approved vendors, is my monitor still fine as well as the AC adapter popped so im wondering if it did any damage? im too scared to put my XG32VQ ac adapter in it just incase it makes that one go pop...

The short answer is no, although they could become more popular/used than a PC and Tablets even have Photoshop/video editing software and its much easier to use than it is on PC.
