Have you tried a different computer using ethernet? Laptop maybe ?? If all else fails, you could try totally resetting your network in windows

Could be, if wifi works fine. A good quality cat 6 cable or try plugging into other ports on the router. Another possibility maybe the ethernet card in the pc. Its settings or a fault with the card/port on the mobo ??

Disconnect one at a time then try it to see if it is power drain relating to the four fans. What psu? make, model wattage and age?

Have you unplugged the fans and tried to re-check for lag ?

You could also try a different usb port on the motherboard to plug in to, and see if it detects it, if not do the uninstall driver and reboot routine.

Did you try the connection/reboot method that worked before? Im assuming you did? Has your pc had any new updates about the time of it crashing again?

Oh, didn't read it correctly. missed the norton 360. That will disable windows defender anyway when installed, so yes as Ralston suggests disable norton firewall. @Ralston18, thx for picking up on that. Bit of brain lag. 🥱

Try the windows one. Then click on the network icon in file manager again. Also can your laptop ping the nas?
