    I FIXED IT! The Solution: in the Device Manager I had some sharing graphics adapter installed. When I removed it, the update went smoothly.

    Dell XPS 8700 unable to upgrade to Windows 10

    Trying to use the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant with this Dell XPS 8700. It is giving the error: Display not compatible. I have tried switching the monitor to a different monitor. I have also tried switching from the Nvidia geforce gt 635 to Intel integrated. I am trying to avoid a fresh install.

    UPDATE: ran the get windows 10 troubleshooter and it gave me the following error: (Image) UPDATE 2: Tried a new monitor and a different GPU. It still didn't work with when switching. Could it be a BIOS thing? (Have Dell XPS 8700) UPDATE 3: Updated the BIOS from A04 to A11
