When you first plug up the device to your computer, A window pops showing all of the files on the device, That is the root of your device's storage, Put the music folder there.

Sorry for late reply, Put the newly created music folder in the root of the Storage.

If you can, Create a new folder and name it "Music" (Without the ") Then put the mp3 files in there and see what happens.

1. Do you still have warranty on your laptop, How old is it anyways? 2.how old is your battery? maybe its time for a replacement. 3.make sure you didn't over tighten a screw.

Is there a folder on your device labeled "Music"?? If so put the mp3 files in there.

I don't think its possible to recover data without using recovery software...

Have you checked the laptop for dust?
