I could get Intel's latest and greatest and board for about that price. Given a few years sloppy game developers could make the 1080 a weak card.

AMD needs to improve power consumption. I'd never buy one. I'm not buying any more new poorly optimized games so I will use my 750ti until prices really drop more than this. The world doesn't end playing good games on low settings.

When my 750ti can't play new games I'll just stop gaming or play the older games I have yet to play.

Plus developers are getting worse when it comes to optimization.

Well I'm done with gaming. I wont buy anything my 750 will not handle. If that goes then it's on board Intel graphics and play games released during the XP era. I have no issues with the CPU being the most expensive part of the system but when it's low to mid end graphics cards costing more...

I'm still using a 750ti. Any games that can't run with that I wont buy. So it's either older games or less gaming. My life will probably be better of that way. Didn't spend any money on Steam over Xmas.
