i had trouble interpreting your description of swapping your monitors to test the ports, so correct me if what i say is wrong. you are running both monitors off of the dvi ports on the card, one on each. when you say adapters, do you mean the ports on the card, or are you using DVI-VGA adapters...

if you physically only have 2 outputs on that card, 1 hdmi and 1 dvi, you can only use 2 of your monitors. most of the radeon hd cards made for more than 2 monitors have 5 outputs on the back (and take up 2 slots on the case), 2 dvi, 1 hdmi, and 2 mini display port, which if you had that, you...
