Why does almost every single triple A game these days need core 2 duo 2.4 GHz and an 8800gt?

To cut the story short, your laptop's graphics card sucks. The graphics should be paired with something along the lines of a Intel Pentium or similar, not an i7. BTW, what game(s) are you playing and what do you mean by "hide the hi"?
