I have come up with a work around. I found an audio jack splitter that gives my headphone cord the extra length needed to make it work. I am passing my mic jack through the mixamp to increase voice quality, while bypassing the mixamp and using the headphone jack directly into my pc to avoid the...

Unfortunately I think my mixamp is too old even for that firmware, it doesn't recognise my mixamp when I run it. I have the previous model to the mixamp shown in the pictures, so I'm guessing my one is not supported.

Although, if it was not compatible with windows 11 I presume it was be distorted all the time? As it is, i'd say 80% of the time it is fine, with the distortion only consistently happening when I launch a game while in discord. It does happen without being in discord or launching a game too, but...

This is the model, I believe it is from ~2010, perhaps it is just not compatible with windows 11?

I've an astro A40 mixamp, it is very old (guessing around 10 years at least), I don't know the exact model. I downloaded one of the versions, the windows 10 one from the microsoft store failed to install, im guessing because it isn't updated for windows 11.

The command centre doesn't recognise the mixamp as it is too old, I tried installing it anyway in case some drivers came with it but unfortunately it didn't solve the issue. Installing optional windows 11 updates now just in case that works. Perhaps I should try downgrading to windows 10, or...

I've updated the drivers along with disabling the HD audio controller on the motherboard to no avail. It is such a strange issue, I feel like I've tried everything bar buying new equipment

I tried this and while it fixed the distortion issue, the audio quality was significantly worse than when plugged in via USB. I guess it narrows it down to the USB being the issue. My concern now is that it is the motherboard at fault rather than the mixamp

BIOS version is E7C37AMS.AF3 Just tried port 6 and I am still experiencing the issue

Apologies I forgot to include the motherboard make and model, its an MSI MPG x570 gaming plus. Not 100% sure on the type of USB it is, I'm guessing 2.0 due to its age and from some googling.
