    4-pin vs 8-pin 12V connector

Thanks for all of your responses. I'll just play it safe and get a converter. With the other components that are going in, I think I'll be OK on power (no uber graphics card or anything, yet).

    4-pin vs 8-pin 12V connector

Hi all, So, I'm thinking of building a new computer from some new parts and a few I have lying around. These are the parts specific to this question: Gigabyte AM3 Motherboard AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE My older Thermaltake PSU Now, the mobo has an 8-pin 12V for the CPU, but the power supply only...

    Mass Effect (1) European Edition

Hi all, So, I ordered Mass Effect from Amazon. Long story short, the retailer that I bought it from is most likely going to send me the European edition. So, my question is, Is the European edition different at all from the American edition? I mostly care about the voice over work: is all of...

    HD 5850 and C2D E7400

Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme . It keeps my overclocked temps much lower than my stock cooler did. I figure I could probably push it to 4 GHz with it, but I'm holding off for now to see how this cooler does once it gets warmer where I live.

    HD 5850 and C2D E7400

Thanks for the quick response. I looked around on Anandtech and it looks like bottle-necking should be minimal. And if I don't get the speeds I want, I can just overclock it more! :bounce: Thanks!

    HD 5850 and C2D E7400

Hi all, I'm finally nearing the point where I'll have enough money to buy an HD 5850, but I just thought of something. On my current build, I have a Core 2 Duo E7400. I overclocked it to 3.6 GHz so far and I haven't changed the voltage yet, so I might try to go for 4 GHz on air. But, at the...

    Upgrade from HD 3870?

AnandTech: Tom's Hardware: Performance is really all I care about at this point. There's no way I'll ever use Eyefinity (I don't have room for more than 1 screen), and DX11 games are still few and far between. I'm not saying I'm going to upgrade to a 4870 or something of the like, but I...

    Upgrade from HD 3870?

BTW, I would say that this may contradict your frame rate estimate for the 5770.... After all, this is on gamer, not even enthusiast. And one other: This one shows that for a resolution lower than mine, they are getting less than 30 fps.... I'm not so sure that a 5770 would do it for me...
