It was the psu failing, tested my friends and no surge. Got a new Seasonic PRIME Ultra 750W 80+ Gold, running good again! So for those with an anti surge issue even though it can be a hassle, test the psu out just in case.

I don't think those event's have anything to do with the hardware. So it could be the PSU. I had a very similar problem and turned out it was my psu (which seemed okay) but was starting to fail. Try to swap that one out and try a new one, I'd suggest a 600-650w seasonic or evga.

Can you give more details? If you think it was overheating before it could still be overheating but in another area. GPU/CPU? That psu is more than enough for the card.
