    Not so much brand loyalty but if building a pc I do try to keep components the same brand but purely for incompatibility reasons.

    In short the 2 wires need to be plugged into each other. It sends rpm and temp data back to the pump unit.

    There is wire labeled pump that should be connected to another wire also coming out of the main unit but it is not labelled at all, it has a fan header plug on it. That wire sends chats with the pump.
