i have a HP p077tx notebook. I am supposed to make recovery disk from an already existing recovery partition. My question is can i make a clean install of my OS ( deleting the whole harddisk ) or does this disk needs a local storage of my recovery on my harddisk ?

Thank you both for answering. I think the problem lies with CMOS battery,i reset that battery manually and my PC started without any problem.
