the psu is an xsonic atxp4-700w, i think its like the higher end of the cheapy psu's

i have an i5 2400 processor, gigabyte ga-768a-d3h-b3 motherboard and a 700w psu and 8 gig ram and am planning to get a r9 280x and was wondering what the best processor would be and if its all compatible. I mostly plan to use it for gaming. thanks in advance
