Battery always shows 100% + strange error

Have an Unbranded UB15MS Tablet (Atom Z3735F, 2 GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics) and the battery at first worked, but now it always shows 100% with no indication that the power is discharging or about to run out and *BAM*, I get two grey rectangles for half a second and it shuts down. Sometimes the...

1TB external Hard Drive vs. 64GB portable Flash Drive?

USB Hard Drives are limited by the speed of the port, but in 1 TB vs. 64 GB, the HDD wins. You can also take it out of the casing and hook it up via SATA internally for faster response.

is it possible to use windows 8.1 that is pre-installed on a laptop hard drive on a self built desktop

If you move it to another PC, it has to have UEFI support to be able to boot it unless your reinstalled windows at some point and formatted the HDD to "MBR". It will give you lots of errors, including Windows is not Genuine, so long story short, not windows, but you CAN format the drive and...

Can't boot Windows 8.1 (looks like hard drive problems)

The drive is definetely on it's way out. Try booting Windows Setup from a USB with CrystalDiskInfo on it, and run it. It will tell you what is failing. But before kicking it out for good, try running the "clean" command in diskpart.

Out of Memory Error on high end gaming rig

In Windows 8.1, press the key combination WIN + Q, and type "System". Next, click Advanced System Settings in the top left, and click Settings under the Performance tab. Under the Advanced tab of that window, click Change under Virtual Memory. It is possible that your Pagefile is disabled. Even...

    Under performing Graphics-card?

A capacitor may have popped on the card. Take it into service perhaps.

Computer won't boot normally, only safemode works

The white lines are after you select boot Windows Normally, correct? Anyhow, download Memtest x86 and put in on a USB drive and boot from it. It is POSSIBLE, but not that likely per your description that the RAM is damaged. Leave it on for several hours (overnight probably) and if any errors...

    Under performing Graphics-card?

Possibly, if the monitor was plugged in, the port may have snapped off or have been damaged. It is probably defaulting to the Onboard Video because of it. Also, were there any problems before this?

    No problem.

    Reinstalling windows 8

It should work, but I do not recommend using an OEM disc to do the re install, and this is because it will probably either fail due to it not seeing that the PC is not the OEM, or that it will load a bunch of crapware on it (like loads of not necessary metro apps). If it does not work right...

    My computer suddenly formatted

Does the computer still boot (even if into the Recovery Partition)? If not, STOP, and open the laptop. Take out the Hard Drive, and plug it into another computer (wether by USB adapter or internally). Get the data off ASAP! The drive is probably on it's way out. Get the data off first, then use...

Switching hard drives, will I run into windows activation problems?

If the Windows Install is on that drive and you move that drive to a non-identical PC, you should get a "Not Genuine" error. If you are cloning the drive and are using the clone on that same PC, you shouldn't get that error. If you are installing the EXACT SAME (version and bit) version of...

    xps 600 no boot

An orange light on Dell Computers indicates a power issue. On the back of the unit near the Power Socket for the power cord, there is a small red switch. If you are in the United States, set it for "115". Anywhere else and set it for "230". The 4 may have something to do with it, and Here is...
