I bought 2x4 GB Ram 3 years ago, and it worked without problems, now today my PC did not start. After turning it on it started to boot, but there was nothing on the screen, and it restarted itself every 10 sec or so. I figured out the problem is with one of the RAM, if I take it out the PC...

Currently I have 2x 4 GB DDR3-1600 DDR3 Kingston SDRAM if I buy one more 4 GB, so I would have 3 of them instead of 2 will my RAM become significantly slower? It would be the same type, however as it would be 3 of them not 2, I expect DUAL mode will not work. Or maybe it will work with 8 gb...

CPU Is 35-40C idle, sorry for the confusion. I started HWMonitor when Prime was already running, so that is why the lowest temp is higher than normally.

I have run Prime95 for ~30 mins or so, but the PC did not freeze, so I think it is not related to CPU problems, probably. I did not want to run it for more time, because it hit ~100C sometimes, so I am not sure if running it for hours would be a good idea. Also based on the stress tests so far...

I have tested all of my Hard Drives + SSD with Macrorit Disk Scanner to see if there is any bad sector, but there was no error, or freezing. So I think the problem is probably not related to any of the drives. Since memtest did not find any errors after running 3-4 whole days, it is probably not...

Sadly it freezed again after a week passed, so I have to investigate more...

I have looked for options in the BIOS, and I turned off "Intel Turbo Boost", which overclocked the CPU automatically. Since then the PC never freezed, so maybe this will solve the problem...

I see, I will try it, however other times the cooler is never loud, not even while playing games or encoding video. It only got very loud, when the PC freezed. Also, after I reset it it was already ok. Another interesting thing is that even when I bought the new PC it already freeze, even when...

Well, I will try to remove the HDDs one by one and check if the PC freezes that way or not... What about the SSD? Can it also cause freezes?
