Thanks for the reply. The problem must have been that the cpu wasn't seated properly in the socket on the motherboard because taking it out and putting it back in is what fixed it. I consider myself very lucky no pins got bent.

Hi, I've just completed a build and am having trouble with the motherboard (I assume). When I first started it up it seemed to power up fine but I was getting no video out. The fans were all spinning and the liquid CPU cooler started churning. I powered down and checked all the connections...
