Sorry guys but I'm new to the video card world.I have a 9600 with a broken fan and I'm trying to get a new video card cheap.One that can run medium-demanding games high setting with little resistance.My 9600 tested cannot do this for some apparent reason.Any other suggestions?

Really because this 9600 wasn't the best all these years I've had it,couldn't run any games on high D: at all.Really want a cheap card better than this one so I can run something like JC2 on high without lag/little lag.
