I have the m17 R5 - couple of hickups on Win11 with bluetooth and wifi and the worst part is that the machine can't use a 80W or 120W without being forced to 0.4GHz cpu clock. So you have to carry around the 240W "tig welding" powersupply everywhere even when you just need to fiddle with...

I am greatly disappointed that the 240W PSU is needed to prevent the cpu clock to drop to 0.4GHz. It runs smooth on battery - but any small dell brick should be able to help the battery - or keep it running all day if one - god forbid - end up working with word and excel for a day :-)

Dell have released a couple of bios updates, and it can now finally run my C++ build without failing. I believe that the compile performance has degraded roughly 10-20% as a result of the bios upgrades. My guess is that the clock controller slows down more agressively to prevent the heat buildup...
