Well, what I'm referring to is that I'd save tons of photos onto it and then process those photos which includes lots of importing and writing. I do astrophotography and I use a software that heavily depends on drive speed when it comes to swiftness of working.

I was looking to get one similar to my current drive, probably one of Samsung's 9xx again, but it sucks that my motherboard is limiting me here. The chipset is old, so it's probably time for an upgrade anyway. I want to use the storage (i would probably get 2tb) mainly for heavy image...
