I have to agree with most of what others are saying. The 970 is a lot of card for the money. I just don't think you would be satisfied with a 960. Of course the 980 is slightly better than a 970 but is it worth the extra 160 bucks for your needs? Probably not.

Did you recheck your connection to your monitor?

I'd click help while logged into Origin and fill out an error ticket. See if those guys can help.

Sometimes the one solution you think has nothing to do with your problem is exactly what you need. The only way to know is trial and error.

For what it's worth I went to the Samsung website link provided in the article, downloaded the zip file "Samsung SSD 840 EVO Performance Restoration", hit Start and the installer did the rest. Checked it with the Samsung Magician software after installing. All is good.
