Got a front panel SD card reader thingy. I dunno which connector it is supposed to connect to on mobo, the manual doesn't say either. If anyone would know which connection it would work it, I would be grateful if anyone with experience would hazard a guess.

Ok, so the solution was reseating the CPU cooler which has brought down temperatures dramatically. Really it's a joke how it's working now and it wasn't before. I checked it in its case when my computer was on and it was plugged in properly etc and running. I just rotated the cooler around...

update: it appears after shutting down my pc and turning it back on for around a minute the speeds were normal. I personally reckon some bad update on Windows 8 is causing this to eat up my ram and abnormally slow me down.
