OK. Red Dead Redemption 2 ran fine with most settings enabled at 1680 X 1050 ( i3-8100, GTX 1060 6GB ,32GB RAM, Corsair CX550 PSU ).

RTX 4070 is made for 1440p gaming. It should breeze through everything, at least for now. What I am wondering about is my i3 - 8100 + 4070.

Can you please elaborate? Changing the CPU means changing the motherboard. The upgrade is on a budget. Resolution will go up from 1680 X 1050 to 2560 X 1440.
