    Civilization V Crashes repeatedly

I really have no idea what more to do on this. My specs are as in my signature, I've tried reinstalling Civilization V four times in the past forty-eight hours. I've verified game integrity in Steam, I've tried changing compatibility, running things in administrator and changing my PC Name which...

Upgrading CPU in my HP Pavilion 500-223w

Look, obviously the quad core is going to be awesome over the duo. One thing I would check, air flow. If you have good cable management on the interior this will aid cooling a bit, as well the new CPU will have a heat sink and fan. If you want to monitor your temperature more closely I would...

Upgrading CPU in my HP Pavilion 500-223w

Hi Anchorhead, What is your current CPU? I'm curious because the 4th Generation Intel Cores require LGA 1150 Compatible motherboards. If you have an earlier Intel Core it may be LGA 1155 and thus would not be advisable or possible. As for a cooler, stock can only get you so far, if you want air...

    A10 7850K and Asus Radeon R7 240 dual graphics/crossfire

Thought I'd do some more searching for you. I'm more of an Intel, nVidia guy so I am a tad behind the times of AMD. Here you are, might keep you a little bit afloat. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1979970/crossfire-a10-7850k.html

GeForce GT 520 died- I like to use EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti over ATI Radeon HD 5670 in H8-1110

Curious, are you trying to plug in an ATI Radeon and a GeForce GTX 750Ti together in the same system? If that's the case, this is a big no, no.

    A10 7850K and Asus Radeon R7 240 dual graphics/crossfire

Hi JBBill, This cannot be done, you're talking about linking your CPU onboard graphics with dedicated GPU's I take it? If you have two of the same GPU, like the Radeon R7 240, those two can be linked to work in tandem with crossfire but not the on board graphics. Sorry to break the news to...

Can you crossfire Integrated graphics and a low end grafics card?

Hi jacobt12, Crossfire require two or more AMD Radeon GPU's of the same make an architecture. Integrated graphics is apart of the CPU and hence is not physically plugged into a PCI-E Socket, for obvious reasons. When you acquire a dedicated GPU like the AMD R5 230 the GPU on board the CPU...

How much is my evga Gtx 650 2gb boost card worth?

This card is available factory new at some stores for $139.99 USD That said your Graphics card is second hand and in used condition. Keep in mind from the day you buy technology, especially computer parts they loose value. I would say it couldn't be worth more than $80.00 USD. Even then you're...

Sounds like your CPU could be the bottleneck here. Do you have a model name for your laptop that you can reference?

    GTX 770 sli questions

Hi Vitric, You're right to be suspicious about articles and many of the websites suggesting TDP's of 400+ and figures that are all over the shop. A reference GTX 770 will never ever use more than 230 Watts. That's its max. I have a Galaxy 780 Ti and it does not use more than 250 watts. The...

Flashing screen on Radeon HD 7670m

Uninstall the drivers. Installing old ones will just mean you've got for example. Driver 1.1 and Driver 1.3 (Newer) and therefore the newer will be chosen. Uninstall all your drivers for the GPU and then install the recommended for the Radeon HD 7670M. See how that goes.

    Upgrading my Graphics Card

It's similar to Intel Turbo-clocking. It's clocking of approx. 1ghz will fluctuate when it needs too, so clocking higher and lower when required to do so. Alternatively you can change that manually using GPU Boost 2.0 which comes with the graphics card. It will work perfectly fine with your...

    Upgrading my Graphics Card

Alright, Under load means when you're putting your computer to heavy work like gaming on Ultra or doing video processing. 60Watts total power draw is small and you shouldn't need to upgrade your PSU so feel free to ignore my original comments on that. Your friend has a good point, if you've...

    Upgrading my Graphics Card

Hi there Buhney. In short, an answer to your question yes your system will be able to take it. As mentioned above it will work perfectly fine as PCI-E is backwards compatible, so the fact you're using a PCI Express 3.0 card won't matter on a 2.0 motherboard. The TDP of the 7970 is 60Watts more...
