Question MB VRM heatsink covering part of top exhaust fan. Is this ok?

Case: NZXT H510 MB: Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570 (has a pretty big VRM heatsink) Top fan: Noctua Chromax 140mm Since the H510 case isn't that big, the MB fills up most of the case, and the VRM heatsink sits very close to the top exhaust. The thing is, part of the 140mm top fan hides behind the...

[SOLVED] How should an AIO fan curve be? And what is the CPU OPT?

First off, thank you both for the detailed answers. I am getting a general picture of how the fan curve should look like now. I have a Deepcool Castle 240 v2 and I don't think this one has a software capable. So I'll have to do some tweaking on my own I guess. Anyway, thank you guys again.

[SOLVED] How should an AIO fan curve be? And what is the CPU OPT?

Ryzen 3700x on Gigabyte Aorus SIV auto (Smart Fan) Setting revs up and down more than I'd like it to. Is it best to keep it that way on auto, or should I change it to a custom curve? If so, do I just change the CPU, or do I change both the CPU and the CPU OPT? And how should the curve be?

[SOLVED] 3700x temp on an AIO

First off, I'd like to thank all of you for such detailed replies. It sure has got me interested in optimizing PBO. However, I do have one more question. Does PBO void warranty?

Question I had top exhaust covered by a towel for 6 hours. How detrimental is that?

Actually, I did game and even streamed at the same time... Normally the system temp is at around 35 C and the CPU at 50~60 C. I hope what I did didn't increase it by too much to damage anything. Oh well, thanks for your reply!

Question I had top exhaust covered by a towel for 6 hours. How detrimental is that?

I left a towel fully covering the top exhaust for about 6 hours of using the computer. I forgot I left it there. The rear exhaust was still open. How harmful is that to a computer? Thanks so much!

[SOLVED] 3700x temp on an AIO

Oh, i see! Well, I really like having cpus without even the slightest OC, especially within the warranty period. I just hope my CB score wasn't 200 points lower even when taking the PBO out of the equation. Anyway, thanks so much for your reply. Ever since you gave the temps a thumbs up, I've...

[SOLVED] 3700x temp on an AIO

What is a PBO? Like the average? In a previous test I did get 4775... I think it's because I didn't have the RGB Fusion, Ryzen Master, and Gigabyte System Information Viewer loaded at that time. I also wasn't taking screenshots. In which case everything is fine? :giggle: Thank you so much for...

[SOLVED] 3700x temp on an AIO

To be exact, I am using a Deepcool Castle 240 AIO for my Ryzen 3700x. (in a NZXT H510 case, along with a GeForce 1060) I'd be so grateful if anyone knowledgeable could tell me whether the temps are okay for such a system. Below are images of both idle and under load. Please excuse the image...

[SOLVED] Equal amount of intake and exhaust, but does size matter?

Thank you so much for the helpful replies guys! Another reason why I wanted to replace the top 120mm to a 140mm was because I wanted to completely cover the top grill. It supporting both 120mm and 140mm fans made it have empty grills going around the 120mm fan. I sort of assumed that during...

[SOLVED] Equal amount of intake and exhaust, but does size matter?

I have two exhaust (rear and top) and two front intakes attached to the radiator of my AIO. And the sizes are: 2 x 120mm intake fans and 2 x 120mm exhaust (rear and top) My question is, the top exhaust also supports a 140mm fan. Would it be better, worse, or the same to change my 120mm fan...

[SOLVED] 650 or 750 or 850 for this build...

I'm in Seoul Korea. Those prices are actually a rough conversion using google's conversion rate. And I just so happened to convert a lot to the USD since I use Amazon. But yeah, those were the Korean prices I listed. Well, I guess I will go with the 650W then!

[SOLVED] 650 or 750 or 850 for this build...

I've narrowed down my choices to EVGA 650 GA (about 93 USD) EVGA 750 GQ (about 86 USD) EVGA 850 G+ (about 123 USD) And my build is: 3700x GeForce 1060 for now, but planning on upgrading to one of the next-gen graphics card to be released this year that will replace the 2070 or 2080 slot...
