If you want to overclock you need a Z170 motherboard. They aren't cheap. I put in one of the cheapest I could find.

I adjusted the build to use an i5-6600k. I also put in a larger SSD since 128 GB is on the low side.

I'll just add that the PSU isn't all that great. It'd be a good idea to get something higher quality. You should be fine with something like this. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TgW9TW/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii520bronze
You could forget overclocking and get a cheaper CPU and motherboard...
You can get a GTX 1060 far cheaper. The Gigabyte Windforce OC is really cheap on Newegg right now if you take advantage of the rebate. Only $240. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/7RKhP6/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-windforce-oc-6g-video-card-gv-n1060wf2oc-6gd
Bad motherboard choice. You have no need for a z170 since you aren't overclocking and that one has terrible features. There are cheaper H170 motherboards that are far better for your purposes. Get rid of the cooler (the stock one is good enough when not overclocking) and you can get a slightly...
Well there is something special, and that's the fact that they're trendy and a status symbol. Macbook Airs have terrible specs, people get them because they're small and expensive.
One thing you could do is turn your computer into a Hackintosh if you want a Mac so bad. I'm not very...
H81 motherboards use the LGA 1150 socket while your processor needs a LGA 1155, so it definitely won't work. You'll need to find some motherboard with a LGA 1155 socket, it doesn't have to be Z77. Since you won't be overclocking, getting something like an H77 would be fine.
To start, if you're on a budget you should build yourself.
1050 watts is way overkill for that build but your selection of PSUs kind of sucks. A lot of lower end units at the lower wattages I wouldn't recommend. At least its a quality PSU. If you wanted to buy something cheap, this PSU could...
Yeah, the i7-750 is a bottleneck. The GTX 960 isn't the best card available, but it should be able to handle newer games. You can still play newer games with your current setup, but your frame rates will be hindered by your processor.
