I put the cpu back in right now because I was really bored it’s early. When I power the pc on I can hear it turn on and fans are spinning and it sounds like normal but the beep when you turn it on doesn’t come and the light indicator on the case doesn’t turn green and there’s nothing on my monitor

So, I requested a return and i put the reason as faulty or damaged. Then i sent the seller a photo of the back of the cpu. Was that the right thing to do? I don’t even know that it could be working and it’s could just be that i need a bios update (that I can’t find on acer’s website).

Yea I think there’s the really small version of the 1050 that only gets power from the pcie slots. I think it’s called something like low profile or small form factor?

I think I should return it took. Anyways, an i7 2600 is wayyyy out of my budget. I’m only 13. I don’t really need that much of a powerful PC as i don’t use it for games. I’ve got my Xbox for that. I think i should get an i5 2400 instead and it’ll save me like 5 quid

No luck. I got some paper towels, put some nail polish remover with acetone on it and rubbed the crap out it. Nothing came off.

I think the gold has gone. It doesn’t seem like there’s dirt on the contacts. It looks like the contacts have gone or got holes in them
