Good morning all, Recently my Samsung Odyssey G5 has broken and looking for a replacement and needing some ideas. Mainly play PS5 but also have a pc. Im wanting atleast 144hz and 1440p, from what I've read curved is always better for gaming so would like to stick with that unless advised...

its only a £30 price difference but the 2600 x come ocd out of the box with a better cooler but if you plan on properly overclocking youll be buying a proper cooler anyways so the 2600 x dont matter really and you should go for 2600

for a cpu id say just go for a ryzen 2600 x because they are very powerful and only about £150 they can be paired with gtx 1080ti and not bottleneck

i can get like 8gbs of ddr3 and ddr4 for around 20-30 in england so thats easy enough its just hard finding a motherboard for the i7 and wasnt sure if i should wait because the ryzen has more life left in it but id say the ryzen plus mobo plus ram would be like £230 whereas intel mobo and ram...

some manufacturers allow the backwards compatibility some dont gotta check with the board you are buying

currently i have a i7 2600 with no mobo but a power supply,cpu cooler,gtx 1050 ti and im wondering if i should either buy all the parts left needed or save for a ryzen 2600x plus motherboard and then buy the missing parts compatible with the ryzen system
