you mentioned in your thread that you wish to destroy data before you "dispose" of the HDD, so what is the issue , take the drive apart , take out the disc , smash it 20 times with a builders Bolster, run a magnet over it, then burn it in a hot fire, , ok sorry for the sarcasm , HDD's are cheap...
