Help! What is my RAM voltage?

In that case, blazorthon, I guess I will just live with 8GB of RAM. Buying 16GB new is not an option financially. And buying RAM online just to figure out that A) it's incompatible and B) online return policies such ass is even worse for me financially. Thanks everyone! May have saved me $50.

Help! What is my RAM voltage?

If it's 1.5V, I'll upgrade with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239289 If it's 1.35V, I'll upgrade with this: http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-1600MHz-PC3-12800-KVR16LS11/dp/B00CQ35HBQ Unless, of course, one of those can't run with my current stick in...

Help! What is my RAM voltage?

Hello all! I currently have a laptop equipped with 8GB of RAM. I want to get myself another 8GB stick of RAM because I'm tired of GTA V and Skype leaving me with less than a gig of free RAM. To do this, I need to figure out the exact specifications of my current RAM stick so I can buy one like...

Question about Intel's 5th generation Core i7 processors?

Hello people of CPU land! All around the stores I see motherboards with fancy shmancy Z97 chipsets saying they are able to be used with Intel processors from both the 4th and 5th generations. These processors have LGA 1150 sockets. This is where I get confused. Sure, having a Z97 chipset...

Power supply needed for a GTX 980 SLI (2x) system?

I think, unless I see anything warning me not to go 850W between now and then, I'll just go with the EVGA 850W PSU I had in the original link. Thank you guys.

Power supply needed for a GTX 980 SLI (2x) system?

Interesting link, JackNaylorPE. Thank you. So, assuming I am reading that chart right, it says 685W PSU would power a system would two stock clocked GTX 980s in a system. How significantly does a decent overclock skew this? I'm not too experienced with overclocking yet, so I don't know what I...

Power supply needed for a GTX 980 SLI (2x) system?

Thanks for your response, Dunlop0078! :D I, too, was originally thinking a quality 850W PSU would cover the system, but I do intend on aiming the initial system for maximum cooling (i.e. $100 CPU Cooler, etc.) so that I can decently overclock the three cards (CPU, 2 GPUs) later on when newer...

Power supply needed for a GTX 980 SLI (2x) system?

Thank you for responding, TechyInAZ! How significant of an overclock on the cards (I assume you mean the graphics cards and not the CPU?) would warrant a 1000W PSU?

Power supply needed for a GTX 980 SLI (2x) system?

First off, sorry if this thread is in the wrong forum. I figured since my question is directly related to GTX 980 SLI, the graphics cards experts could help me the most. I'm building a computer system during next year's (2016) Black Friday deals. The specs of the system I'll build are below...

Extreme overheating of AMD Phenom ii X4 955 BE

I agree with subvoltic. It sounds like your heatsink or fan aren't working properly. When you run a CPU intensive program, do you hear your fans start revving up, or does it stay silent? I'm wondering if your fan is even running.

Can I run GTA V on this computer?

Sorry I took so long to pick the best solution. I just did. However, for reference... After having played the game extensively on the laptop I mentioned in the original post, I can report the following data. I played the game at 1366x768 with the High texture setting, and maximum render...

Can I run GTA V on this computer?

I'd like to know if this laptop can run GTA V on the lowest possible game settings and at 720p resolution. I'm only looking for 25-30 FPS here. What do you guys think? If you don't think I can, is it possible that a further lowering of resolution will help? Manufacturer: MSI Processor: Intel...

Transfer hdd to a new pc

Sorry, I lost track of what I was saying. Meant to say after the formatting of the hard drive just package the whole case and then sell online and ship via whoever.

Transfer hdd to a new pc

Selling it is really easy bro. Just turn on the computer it's connected to, factory reset the hard drive, carefully remove the hard drive and package it, then wait until someone buys it from you to send it to their house via UPS or Fedex or whatever? It's not hard.
