Is Google Trying to Kill the CAPS LOCK KEY?

READ THE ARTICLE BEFORE LEAVING A COMMENT! The "CAP LOCK KEY" is still there but they changed the default to do a "Search" instead. YES, YOU CAN CHANGE IT BACK IF YOU WANT! SO NOT REALLY GONE!

Apple is the Leader in Admitting Software Bugs

I think I decoded the color: For 2010, start from top and will match the order of the companies. Imaging that graph for a color blind person!

Windows 7 SP1 Beta Now Ready for Public Testing

wotan31The ignorant public = Microsoft's unpaid beta testers. Sorry Microsoft, keep your crapware to yourself. It's just because you don't understand that having a lot of tester (also a lot of possible computer configuration) will help find bugs faster and have a better SP. If you don't want...

PC painfully slow after graphics card/OS upgrade

If you want to change your CPU, you will need to change your RAM and Mobo. May be your HD are old and slow too? Then maybe new SSD? So it is more a new computer than an upgrade. Why don't you try to see if a new PSU fix your problem and see if the computer is fast enought for your need.

Usb external driver to work for windows 7

Are you sure your device is on? It should be normally recognized by Windows, even by Vista or XP. You can go on your manufacturer's web site to see if there is any special drivers required. How about your installation manual?

    Wiping Old Drives

Hi, Are you sure your mobo does not have an IDE port? I have both on mine. Check with your manufacturer or look inside. The only way I could think without a computer is like in the movies, a big magnet. How is it efficient? Not sure. Reformating or removing partition will not do that. You...

Why are some windows not expandable?

A window has an attribute like "FormBorderStyle" where the value can be "None / FixedSingle / ... / Sizable / ...". With a form like the one you provided, it would be more difficult to redistribute spaces for each tabs. You're right. It is really frustrating where there are still Windows to...

    Switching from RAID to AHCI

I'm currently in RAID mode in the BIOS. Even the SSD is not part of a RAID, Win 7 has been installed on that mode so I could still access my old RAID to transfer all my data (Vista). Your link is from "SATA" to "AHCI". Does that hack still apply to me? I also installed the "Intel Matrix...

    Switching from RAID to AHCI

Hi, I used to have a RAID-0 of 2 regular HD with Vista. I added a new Intel G2 SSD and installed Win 7. If I understand properly, I will not be able to use the TRIM feature because of the BIOS being in RAID mode. Right? I do not care any longer of my old RAID and would like to change the BIOS...

    Running dos programs

You could also install Win 7 Pro or Ultimate and will come with a key to run a Win XP emulator. I would recommand you to install a trial borrowed from a friend (by not entering the ProductKey), install the XP Mode and try it before buying it.

    Windows 7 live mail

Does your e-mail configured to leave a copy of the e-mail on the server? If not, when an e-mail is downloaded, it will be deleted on the server.

    Windows

Not sure to understand "without software" but if you means without loging into Windows, I don't think you can. Would it be usefull to have a password if everybody could simply go in DOS mode and do a password reset?

Whats the difference between 1067mhz and 1333mhz

Quick answer is the speed at what the RAM is running. It normaly 4X the CPU FSB. So, FSB: 266MHz => 1067MHz FSB: 333MHz => 1333MHZ I will recommand you to do a google search on "memory speed explained" or else. Note: The CPU speed is the FSB X Multiplier. Example: FSB 266MHz X 10 = 2660MHz...
