Um I think I have the one that came with the CPU. Is that bad? and can I overclock in windows or do I have to go into the BIos?

So my bother built me a Computer for Christmas and I love it! It has an FX6300, M5A97 R2.0 Mobo, 8GBs Ram and 7790 Graphics Card. I want to overclock my CPU but I've never done it before. Can someone help a noob like me? thanks :)

Don't overclock with the stock cooler! You will overheat your processor. You need an after market cooler for overclocking.

No, even if you were able to play it. It's not worth playing on lowest settings.

To me it seems that maybe you don't have enough or proper contact of the CPU cooler to the CPU. Try taking it off and then reinstalling it while also replacing the thermal compound. I would recommend putting a this strip of thermal compound on the cpu and then placing the heat sink back on.
