Question Unsure how to setup 3 case fans

Perfect, I'll put those 4 fans in and then I'll check temperatures for other components with HWINFO. If eveything seems okay at Idle, I'll set a fan curve for the CPU temps for all the fans to cover for load. I don't plan to change cooler anytime soon as the CPU seems to be fine, this all began...

Question Unsure how to setup 3 case fans

I have an M.2 and some normal drives so I guess I'll try HWINFO and see what temps I get. I may have misunderstood. I thought you meant put 3 intakes at the front. I can do 2 at front, 1 on top and 1 at back though like you've mentioned above. I'll set that up. So do you mean at the top of...

Question Unsure how to setup 3 case fans

Also, how should I go about checking the storage drive temperatures? Can't seem to see that displayed in MSI so wondering if there is a more suitable tool to check temperatures throughout the PC with?

Question Unsure how to setup 3 case fans

It looks like the front can only fit two fans. At the bottom and middle so I've put two there. The top spot doesn't seem to have screw slots and space for a third fan. As for the exhaust at back, I've put that at the top of the back panel, like you've mentioned. So that;s all 3 fans. Are the...

Question Unsure how to setup 3 case fans

Thanks for the help! I have a Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01. I use the stock Ryzen 5 3600x cpu cooler I believe. GPU is a Gigabyte RTX 2080. As for the thermal pads, it was due to them being torn up when I opened the GPU that I realised I needed to replace them. I did that over the weekend for...

Question Unsure how to setup 3 case fans

Hi all, I had a bit of a hassle this weekend changing my GPU thermal paste and pads. I did this as the GPU kept hitting 80 degrees and then the fan went apeshit. It was really loud, I couldn't play a game without it going crazy every 30 seconds. I'm still worried I've done this incorrectly...

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

Alrighty. I can only do so much with that on Skyrim VR for now but seems to be a likely cause for my problems. Thanks for the help!

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

I think you're right. I seem to be hitting the cap of my VRAM a fair bit. Notice that even on Warzone. Not sure if I can do anything about that?

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

I currently stream using the VR Capture method. I get the same result for both SLOBS and OBS Studio, both of which capture the right eye. The game is technically displayed on my desktop but it's not what I capture I believe. Perhaps I should try capturing what is displayed there instead? I do...

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

It doesn't run fine at all for Skyrim VR while streaming it. Obviously that's a pretty taxing combo but I thought Nvidia Nvenc new ran on it's own thing anyway and wouldn't tax the GPU so much that the game is unplayable. GPU usage hit's 100% in Task Manager, GPU-Z shows idle and the game is...

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

That makes sense I think. I understand that you have a defualt profile and a tweaked one. Default hits power limit and for the tweaked profile it hits no limit but I assume usage is still at 99-100% when running that benchmark? My problem was that hitting 99% completley lagged out my game...

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

Sorry, convo got a bit more advanced than I'm knowledgable on overnight! :D From what you said @hotaru.hino , it still sounds like you're hitting a maximum utilization perfcap, so the limits of your GPU are being hit? Does GPU-Z then show reason as Util as you're at the cards maximum ability...

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

Hi, sorry, this was based on GPU-Z showing Perf-Cap reason as Idle, that is my bad for not specifying. It shows this despite Task Manager showing 99% and GPU-Z shjowing the same (GPU Load inside of GPU-Z). I was under the impressions this implies a problem? I'm unsure how to overclock my GPU but...

[SOLVED] Possible GPU Bottlenecking problem? GPU-Z showing Idle under load ?

G.SKILL 32GB DDR4 Ripjaws V for Intel. I have them running at 3200 tho as 3600 BSOD's me. Fairly certain my PSU is an Aerocool 80 PLUS 600W PSU. I do think it's been a few months since I did BIOS, was using a tool for it I now can't find or remember. I'll manually do that before I update...
