Question EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Display driver stops responding

I've finally got around to plugging it into a different build, and the same behaviour is observed. So it's definitely the GPU. I've had it for about a year, but I've bought it off someone else who has had it since 2017-2018. I guess there's a chance the card is on its way out then.

Question EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Display driver stops responding

Not that old, roughly ~1 year. No, I have never overclocked the card myself. It's always run at factory settings. Would that just detoriate over time? It would be sad to always have to run the GPU at reduced clock speeds. I've tried putting the power target to maximum (128) and changing...

Question EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Display driver stops responding

Using HWiNFO I monitored the 12V rail, and with a regular power target (100 in Precision X1) I noticed that the power kept dropping when I put the GPU under load, until it would eventually reset. Here's the graph: When decreased the power limit all the way to 45, the power curve was a lot...

Question EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Display driver stops responding

Hi all, For a few weeks now the GPU crashes after running a game for a while. At a random point, the game will freeze, after which it will force close. sometimes the game will report that the D3D device/driver was lost. I'm unsure how to figure out what causes this issue. It didn't happen up...

    'A' an 'D' keys sometimes don't work - MSI GE62VR 6RF

Hey all, Recently I've been having this weird problem where the 'A' and 'D' keys sometimes don't register. It's incredibly random and I cannot find any patterns whatsoever. The only pattern I could find is that it always works if I press rather hard on the keys. Sometimes they work completely...

    Insane amount of BSODs

Well I'm not really eager to pay $140 for something I might be able to do by myself. The hardest part is finding the right RAM. I have no idea if there's specific laptop RAM, and what specs it should have. Also, memtest says that it tests multiple things, including CPU. Isn't there a chance...

Yeah. I'll send it to MSI and they will fix it for me, then charge $300 for 2 RAM sticks that in reality cost only $100. Besides, I'll also lose my only PC for like 2-3 weeks or so. I can't void warranty anymore, as it's already expired. The big problem is finding the right RAM.

I don't even have the slightest idea on how to replace laptop ram, let alone finding these sticks. Warranty has expired already I think.

So far on pass 2 of memtest, already at 370 errors. Seems quite steep for a laptop that's barely 2 years old.
