    Question Imprint on the screen?

I just bought a new monitor and I have strange imprints on the screen on both the left and right side of it, like half-circles. Very noticeable on dark backgrounds, and I use dark-mode on pretty much everything so its really annoying. Here's an image but it's taken on a completely BLACK...

Question Windows Defender, CPU 100% spikes

Update: No that was not it. At this point I am suspecting GW2 itself. At the end of the day I dropped Windows Defender for a different AV and I haven't had a problem since.

Question Windows Defender, CPU 100% spikes

I think I might have found a culprit, being Deezer. I tried to turn off everything I could aside from the driver-related stuff for the past few days (iCue, Logitech, etc) and things have actually been fine. Then I started using the Firefox browser while playing games again and still everything...

Question Windows Defender, CPU 100% spikes

Driver programs are the only real constant. Razer Synapse iCue Logitech HUB Sidenote: I don't really like any of these, but because I made some poor decisions in hardware purchases I have to use them to get the mileage advertised. I'll also listen to music on programs like Foobar and Deezer. I...

Question Windows Defender, CPU 100% spikes

Okay, it's been a couple of days and I tried both of your solutions @rgd1101, @Ralston18. Updated it to the latest version. sfc /scannow found some corrupted files, they were fixed. Dism didn't really do anything. Task Scheduler had nothing, so I added my own that ran fine without hogging...

Question Windows Defender, CPU 100% spikes

It happened again. Looks like this, kinda spazzy too. I only managed to get the graphs though and not a screenshot of what was going on while it happened. It doesn't last very long, only about 10-20 seconds. I tried adding Windows Defenders folder to the scan exclusions but that didnt seem to...

Question Windows Defender, CPU 100% spikes

Been noticing some odd behavior from anti-malware executable lately. About every 6 hours, MsMpEng.exe will take as much CPU as it can manage for about 20-30 seconds, overtaking all other processes as it does so. I don't remember having enabled any kind of scheduled scans, but then again I...

[SOLVED] Cannot remove Write-Protection from my Internal HDD.

Okay, an anomaly... Running Diskpart in CMD did remove the read-only restriction, except it doesn't say it does. If I inspect any folder in the volume, it will say it's write-protected, but it's not so I guess it's fine now...

[SOLVED] Cannot remove Write-Protection from my Internal HDD.

Yes, I have full access to my computer, as I am an administrator account and have granted myself all permissions. Write-Protection is a tough nut to crack though, as he seems to withstand my power! My computer is rebelling against me... This means war.

[SOLVED] Cannot remove Write-Protection from my Internal HDD.

I solved it. Running Diskpart in CMD did remove the read-only restriction, except it doesn't say it does. If I inspect any folder in the volume, it will say it's write-protected, but it's not so I guess it's fine now...

    GTX 780 ti Overheating issue.

EDITx4: Warframe has it's own V-Sync option which seems to override whatever Nvidia Controlpanel demands, so I simply turned on Auto v-sync in Warframe and indeed the game calmed down. You were right. Thank you. old post:

    GTX 780 ti Overheating issue.

So couple of days ago I got a Gainward Geforce GTX 780 ti. I didn't notice any issues the first day, but I didn't really try much gaming either. Next day I run up Skyrim. The next thing that happens as soon as I stare at the Menu screen, I hear a loud whiiiiiiiiiiiiiizzzz kind of sound coming...
