News Nvidia's new tech reduces VRAM usage by up to 96% in beta demo — RTX Neural Texture Compression looks impressive

I need this for my VR! Medium low dynlod and I am sitting at 98% vram usage!

My First GPU was an EVGA GTX 660Ti SC! but that was the only EVGA product I owned.

News AMD RX 9070 series to benefit from 'maximum performance' tuning ahead of touted March release

I honestly feel like the 9700XT should have come with more VRAM to better differentiate it with the 9700. like the 7900XT and the XTX. No one is utilising Samsung's GDDR6W modules.

News RTX 5090 prototype allegedly has 24,576 CUDA cores and 800W TDP — two 16-pin connectors present

At the same time, I am also blown away by the power draw of high end cards. Gone are days when you had 350W as the top end limit. Did hwbusters do any transient load test for 1250w + PSU with 2 HVPWR connectors?

Question What GPUs do you want to see compared with the Arc B580?

^ I checked the 4090 review and that had a smaller game pool. Going forward, you plan to update the test methodology page and try to stick with it? GPU hierarchy charts are again based on the small game pool collection then? https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-review/3

News Jensen says DLSS 4 "predicts the future" to increase framerates without introducing latency

Ok, let me give you more context: maybe I was a bit rude to broadly classify all UE 5 devs as lazy. But its true that UE5 provides all the tech features needed and thats why game companies are dropping their own engines. Its is true that you have a lot of stuff to work on and fine tune. Now...

News Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 versus RTX 4090 — How does the new halo GPU compare with its predecessor?

Here is a good comparison video with previous gen. Looking at the RTX off performance metrics that Nvidia showed in the keynote, its not looking good. This looks to be the perfect time for AMD with RDNA 4.

News Jensen says DLSS 4 "predicts the future" to increase framerates without introducing latency

And this is where all the problems come from. UE5 has all the features pre baked. Game devs get lazy and do a poor job optimising the game. I would rather have game devs using their own engines instead...

News Nvidia shows off GeForce RTX 5090 FE PCB: 30 phases of stable 575W power

Nvidia did say that it has plans for the consumer PC CPU side with mediatek. What you said could very well happen in the near future. And I can picture them asking 3k for the Nvidia mini PC, which has a 5080 in it !

Question What GPUs do you want to see compared with the Arc B580?

I dont know if you are still considering inputs for this topic. Could I know the current list of games for the benchmark? I would very much like to see an update to the games included apart from new GPUs. The steam top games by concurrent players would be a good place to start I guess.

News Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 versus RTX 4090 — How does the new halo GPU compare with its predecessor?

This is exactly what I need. My 4070Ti Super is struggling with modded SkyrimVR. 98% VRAM usage with medium to low LODs and shadows :( Need some love for VR tech/features...

Discussion PSU recommendations and power supply discussion thread - Tom's hardware

My 2 cents as a fellow enthusiast: I always recommend tier A 750w gold psu with a proven track record and good transient response. Even for mid or low end builds - as you would have no headaches for the 7 + years and no problems with GPU upgrades. If he is using it for an upgrade, he should...
