Update I actually did get the GTX 970, the ASUS STRIX DIRECTCUII OC model, it only needed 1x8-pin for the PCI-E power. It has been serving me well for the last 2 months. Also it is very capable ;). Thanks all for the help, someone mark this as solved if possible!

Probably was a mining card before hands down also that PSU is very cheap and may not even have enough wattage to supply your build. Focus on a new build, this build is very old anyway and there is much newer technology to soothe your nerves.

Stock coolers by Intel for LGA1700 are not only bad, but completely TERRIBLE. I advise you get a newer cooler, like the Thermalright Peerless Assasin 120 SE, or the Deepcool AK620, these CPU coolers support Intel LGA1700 and are perfect for your needs!
