I have a Gigabyte Z930 Aorus Ultra for for my I7 9700k. I have an all core overclock at 5ghz and the board hardly heats up. But if you're not going to overclock (which I highly recommend on such and expensive chip) I'd go for something like a Gigabyte Z390 gaming X.

Yes of course they will communicate with the board and will be told what speed to run at depending the the temp of the CPU. It's exactly how I have my X62 configured.
