    Will an i7-4790k bottleneck the newest graphics cards that are out?

    I have an i7-4790K. I was wondering if it would be bottlenecking graphics cards like the GTX 1070 and up. Could someone explain what it is in a CPU that causes the bottleneck? Is it the amount of cores or their speed? I want to know so I can decide about parts in the future.

    Getting low framerates

    I am getting max 38 fps on all games, but when I run benchmarks I get great scores and have no problems, only low framerates on games

    Can I upgrade my graphics card from a gtx 970 to a 1070

    If my gpu now has 6/8 pin pcie power connectors and the gpu that I want is only 8-pin, can i just use that 8 pin from the original and leave the other one unplugged?
