EKWB's Water Block For MSI 390X Is Shiny, As Usual

Go for a basic card using reference PCB design, but even then check if it's on the compatibility list of the water block. I had to file into my block to make it fit because it had too high quartz cristal. Biggest problem are components that would normally be cooled by exhaust air from fans, like...

Oculus Reveals Recommended Specs For Oculus Rift, Includes Core i5-4590 And GTX 970, R9 290

From my experience of adding DK2 support to software I work on I can tell those figures aren't exagurated at all. DK2 SDK want's you to deliver someting like 2x1400x1300x75 ~= 300Mpixels per second. However getting the GUI, 2D, user interaction right in a complete new use scenario is much harder...

    Tested: Nvidia's Performance-Boosting GeForce 337.50 Driver

Sorry but choise of benchmarks is misguided. Nvidia claims reduced overhead and SLI improvements. You should test the mantle style driver overhead claim on a SLOOW CPU (i3@2Ghz) and a powerfull GPU. For SLI improvements you should try your i7 with 2 mid range cards.

alextheblue I don't see them forcing Fiat to include a choice of aftermarket stereos, instead of the Fiat units. Oh what's that, you could replace your stereo system yourself? Oh, how similar to a browser, only browsers are free. When my uncle bought a Fiat dealer installed after market stereo...

Windows 8 to Have Built-in PDF Reader

bison88Apple and Linux have got away with murder allowing things that Microsoft would get slammed with monopoly lawsuits with and in return we get a less capable operating system because of it. What did the EU accomplish? Extra browser choices during installation in an age where most Windows...

Nvidia Says More CPU Cores are Better (and Why)

allenpani dont think the "power" cumsumption umber is wrong, assuming Power = Voltage * Current (P=VI or P=VIcos@) or Voltage ^2 * Resistance (P=V^2R) or Power = Current ^2 / Resistance (P=I^2/R)Ohm's law does not apply to transistors since there primary function is breaking Ohm's law :)

Intel Confirms That HDCP Master Key is Cracked

Nobody thought that HDCP would be uncrackable. It was designed to inconvenience typical users enough to keep them from copying media, motivated ones used the analog loops or bought some other hardware setup. I hate this "I sell you stuff in a box so you can play it on an certified box the way I...
