Tried it.. no dice. Probably didn't hurt my system to get it up to date though. What's the best way to go about making sure none of my drivers are causing this issue?

Looks to be okay here. I have updated my BIOS and found out it was almost four years out of date. I will install recent drivers for my motherboard as a precaution. I will continue to look for causes.
