Cannot boot from an usb drive when a hdd is installed.

Sometimes a live Linux USB drive will have two options to select when trying to choose it for the boot priority. First thing I would be sure to check is if there is another USB choice in the boot options that you could select. You could also try removing the HDD from the boot order entirely but...

CiT Spectre White Case + Hyper Evo 212 Cooler

No, they apparently don't work well together. Sources: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2660121/evo-212-size.html https://pcpartpicker.com/b/q2gLrH From the pcpartpicker build: "THE CASE IS A LIE. Not big enough for Hyper 212 EVO. There are useless bits on the side of the case that...

Intel Supported Power Supply With Amd Motherboard?

Generally no, there aren't any problems between PSU's that support Intel sleep states and AMD motherboards. If you would like specific verification feel free to post the exact models you're looking at.

Need Help Choosing Cables for HD and SSD - First Timer

Hello SteamyJ, You need any standard SATA 3 cable, such as these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018Y2LCEI/ They will work both for the HDD and SSD drives. You'll connect these SATA 3 data cables from the drive directly to the motherboard. **Edit: Don't forget to look in the motherboard box...

Need some help picking out a new processor and power supply.

There's really no way to know until you try, but the good news is that even if your case ends up needing more cooling it is an easy fix. Adding new case fans is a very easy procedure, and even if you don't have many sys_fan headers on the motherboard a standard y-splitter is often enough to...

    Best Intel i5 motherboard

Choices by price (low to high). Any of these are good choices at their price points and will fully accommodate an intel i5 1150 CPU. 1) Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H. Black & grey color, very good budget performance, 1600MHz DDR3 maximum. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H-A Micro ATX LGA1150...

My fans spin faster as I play for ex. Total Warhammer. What are my options to make it more silent?

The fans themselves stay quiet under full load (no clicking or bearing grind), but under full load you will obviously hear the air being pushed.

    Windows 10 home for virtualization?

Home is all you need. You are correct, 10 Home can support up to 128GB of memory (which is much more than even most enthusiast builders use). 10 Pro has a few more business/ workplace features that you really won't need. 10 Pro can handle up to 512 GB of RAM, but only a small business server...

My fans spin faster as I play for ex. Total Warhammer. What are my options to make it more silent?

I'd personally replace the default fans, as they almost certainly aren't as quiet as the Corsairs above. If after you replace the defaults you still need a bit better airflow you could add an additional intake, but just replacing the three you already have should make a big difference.

Quick question on connecting my GPU to the PSU

No problem, Good news, one of those will work no matter what model of GTX 950 you are hoping to use. The side with the solid 8-connector will plug directly into the PSU (either of the red slots on the left will work), and the other side into the GTX 950. I'd personally recommend using the 6+2...

My fans spin faster as I play for ex. Total Warhammer. What are my options to make it more silent?

Probably the best solution is getting quieter fans, and perhaps one additional intake at the front. Just adding more fans might help, but unless you're already using high-quailty fans you will probably not hear much of a difference. Here are examples of great 120mm and 140mm fans which run...
