    Question Upgrade 5yr old build

I'd like to plan on 4k. Don't have it now, but will likely be trying to catch an LG OLED on sale soon. I have a 77" C2 that I love and have been eyeballing maybe a 48" C2.

    Question Upgrade 5yr old build

Used your advice roughly 5 years ago for a build and I'm coming back for more. The nuts and bolts of what I have now are posted below: Case: NZXT - S340 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING CPU: i7-8700k Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200...

    New build and no display

I may have gotten it. Forgot to plug the 6 pin power cable into the Mobo up in the top corner. Getting a nice post screen so we'll see how it goes. :)

    New build and no display

Just finished building a new system. Fans kick on, memory lights up, rgb on Mobo lights up, video card lights up and fans spin, but when hooked up to a monitor, I get nothing. OS is obviously not installed. 8700k EVGA 2080 Ti RTX Gskill tridentz ddr4-3200 Asus strix z370-e gaming mobo Seasonic...

    Help deciding on monitor

Thanks for the help. I have an i7-8700k at the moment which should be plenty. From the sounds of it and everything I've read, it doesn't look like I could go wrong with either Asus or Alienware monitors I listed. I'm leaning towards the Alienware based on what I've read and am just keeping an...

    Help deciding on monitor

So I'm in the middle of building my system and am just waiting on Nvidia to get a 2080ti. I've done a lot of research and I still find myself going back and forth on what kind of monitor I want/should buy... I've been out of gaming for a while....close to 5 years, so I'm sure I'll be blown away...

    $2000-$2500 USD Build

I know hard wired is always better to use, but unfortunately I need WiFi for the time being. Will do some more reading on the board since I have seen time off coming up. On a side note, do you guys have a recommendation for a good speaker setup? I understand it'll take me over my $2500 limit...

    $2000-$2500 USD Build

I really need a board that has decent WiFi, at least to start. That's one reason I was looking at the Asus, but will look into the one posted above a little more.

    $2000-$2500 USD Build

So I think I've narrowed it down to g-unit's build, albeit with a slightly larger Evo drive and an Asus maximus hero board with WiFi. Probably going with the same case too, only in black. Some other questions I had were about fans and lighting. Do I need to order additional fans, and with the...

    $2000-$2500 USD Build

Perhaps a silly question, but if I bought the Win10 in these builds, I would need an optical drive in the build as well since it comes on a DVD, correct?

    $2000-$2500 USD Build

The monitor listed is a freesync monitor. With an nvidia card, wouldn’t it be beneficial to pick a gsync monitor? Also, the mobo listed does not have onboard WiFi. Is there a comparable mobo with it or is it generally a better idea to get a dedicated WiFi card?

    $2000-$2500 USD Build

Would cutting back on the storage drive and making it mechanical and bumping up to a 1080 Ti be beneficial?

    $2000-$2500 USD Build

I’ve decided to build my own rig (have the wifes approval this time lol) and would use it primarily for gaming. I will need a monitor and while 4k isn’t a need now, down the road I would like the ability to do so by simply getting a 4k monitor. If there is a deal on a good 4K one now, I’m open...
