News RTX 5090s get ready to blow with AI-focused makeovers in China — industrial production lines transplant GPU and memory from gaming cards onto serve...

This is exactly why the only available 5090's are at up to 50% markups. The AIBs are fully complicit in somehow getting them into China to be repurposed for Ai. Still don't understand why Nvidia just doesn't triple 5090FE production and cut the allocation to these scummy AIBs.

News Intel might cancel 14A process node development and the following nodes if it can't win a major external customer — move would cede leading-edge ma...

I would rather see the US dump $50 billion into maintaining the latest process node than spending on another aircraft carrier and/or new fighter jet. The Chinese are dumping billions in order to catch up to TSMC. The worst case scenario would be TSMC and China being the only capable...

Act fast and grab a Nintendo Switch 2 from Walmart or Best Buy before they are gone

This is pretty much the current situation. Expect the banhammer if you even dare to buy used games for this console.

The true question is how much has the DoD's computer systems have been compromised by this unforced "error"?

News Intel allegedly planning more Oregon layoffs — new report says retreating operation could become a liability to the state

That's been going on for awhile already. Intel is dead man walking. Has the stench of other industry has beens that are either dead or shadows of their former selves like DEC, IBM, and SGI. Only government provided life support is going to keep them around.

News Cyberpunk 2077' system requirements revealed for Apple Silicon Macs — M3 Pro recommended for 1080p 60 FPS gameplay

We’ll see but Mac games usually don’t have all the eye candy that the PC versions do so it’s not really a fair comparison. Is VRR supported on Mac’s?

News Intel might axe the 18A process node for foundry customers, essentially leaving TSMC with no rival — Intel reportedly to focus on 14A

You betcha if/when China takes over Taiwan, it'll be Tomahawks hitting the foundries and not Chinese cruise missiles.

News Nintendo Switch 2 units allegedly overheating — users report issues while playing Cyberpunk 2077 and less power-hungry games

That's what Nintendo gets for using a 7 year old Samsung 8nm node that already held back Ampere. Guess Nvidia still had a lot of wasted Samsung allocation that didn't want to use to make more Amperes. The Switch 2 should've been made with at the very least TSMC 5nm.

I swapped out my laptop's Wi-Fi 6E card for Wi-Fi 7 in minutes and gained 50% more performance for just $54 — here's how you can, too

Yup, along with that they tend to use the worst screens, one of the reasons I avoid their laptops. No one has figured out how to get any Intel Wifi7 cards to work on any non-Intel system, laptop or desktop motherboard.

News Intel Factory layoffs could impact 'more than 10,000' factory workers — one fifth of employees affected by 'enormous cutback

Dump the employees and pump up the stock. This is why the board fired Gelsinger. Typical short term American “Jack Welch” line of thinking that has led to the demise of multiple industry greats.

News The U.S. Navy is selling MSRP Nvidia RTX GPUs — 5070, 5080, and even 5090 spotted at Navy Exchange

Yeah I've basically given up on ever getting the 5090 at original MSRP. High end GPUs are never going to be decently priced until if/when Ai ever comes crashing down.

News Lenovo's new Legion 9i gaming laptop sports an 18-inch dual-mode 3D display and flagship specs

Power requirements aside, isn't the "Flagship CPU" 275HX in this overpriced thing slower in gaming than the 14900HX?

News RTX 5060 reviews are reportedly in jeopardy — Nvidia allegedly withholding pre-release drivers from reviewers

Ah, the old taking time to "polish the turd" routine. It's not like it's the first Blackwell release.
