Hi! Recently bought a new SSD as a system disk. Unfortunately i forgot to set BIOS to AHCI prior to installing OS (win 7 x64). Heard this may cause firmware problems (incompatible drivers etc) and may lead to auto shutdown of windows? is this statement true? No problems with Core temperatures...

Latest version BIOS. auto AHCI. I solved the problem by disconnecting my old hard drive then booting with Windows 7 CD. For some reason the SSD got deteced, and i'm now succesfully installing OS on SSD. Cheers anyway :)

Hi. Recently bought a Samsung 840 Pro SSD. Connected it through a ASUS U3S6 Expansion card as the ASUS m4a79xtd motherboard only got Sata II /eSata ports. When starting up windows my new disk is not getting deteced in BIOS... Any solutions? (64x Win7) Thanks!
