[SOLVED] low FPS after upgrading from RX570 to GTX 1660 Super

Right now my system reports pcie 3.0 x4 , whereas it's supposed to show 3.0 x16 as per gpu+mobo specs. I did testing through 3dmark Timespy and the graphics score is about 4% below the average for GTX1660 supers which appears within normal deviation. If the bus link is really at x4 then...

[SOLVED] low FPS after upgrading from RX570 to GTX 1660 Super

I defaulted the settings in Nvidia control panel and set 3D settings to "let application decide", now the games run at a higher fps. However, the bus speed is still at PCIE 3.0 x4, wondering what is the reason for that and is it holding back some potential performance?

[SOLVED] low FPS after upgrading from RX570 to GTX 1660 Super

Question PC randomly shuts down (not PSU problem)

Just an update, ran Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool again choosing burn in (2 hour long test). After it reached CPU Load test, screen turned black (no signal) and system froze with keyboard lights unresponsive, but the heatsink fan kept on running high speed as if still doing the test. I let it...

Question PC randomly shuts down (not PSU problem)

Haven't updated to Win 10 version 2004 yet, never had any operating system problems before. Likely not a Windows issue as the system lockup happened once when I left PC idle in BIOS. BIOS version is F23a , my Antec PSU only around 2 years old. The PSU I borrowed is a Cooler Master 450w, total...

Question Computer randomly shutting off, can't start up, no overheating. Happens very intermittently?

Hey I have the exact same problem as you, CPU: Intel core i5 6600, same motherboard Gigabyte H170M-D3H-CF. I also tested RAM, swapped PSU, and use onboard graphics with same random shutdown problem. Sometimes it runs fine for days or shut off after leaving it on overnight. I took it to a repair...

Question PC randomly shuts down (not PSU problem)

Hope if anyone can provide insight: My PC started to random shutdown a few months ago (everything suddenly turns off, event viewer only shows kernel power error). It happened first in June, so I reseated the RAM and it didn't happen again until 1 month later in July. Then it became more frequent...
