Well if you buy the 390x then the 144 hz option would be something you could definitely take advantage of as the gpu would be able to deliver around or over 120 fps at 1080p on most games on high to max settings. I believe 1080p at 144 hz would be a great gaming experience versus 1440p at 60 hz...
